A Texas couple has lost their legal fight to remain on a 70-acre property in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County. William Dan Moss and his wife, Brenda, were excluded from William's mother's will and subsequently challenged an eviction order. Despite multiple court proceedings, including appeals to the Sixth Court of Appeals, courts have consistently ruled in favour of the Garner Heir Group, represented by Mark Lawrence. The couple argued that eviction cases should not proceed without first determining land ownership, but the appeals court disagreed, allowing the eviction judgment to stand.
