Argentina Sees High Number of Baby Whale Deaths

A significant number of young Southern Right Whales are dying in Patagonia, Argentina, with carcasses washing ashore since June. Scientists suspect a bacterial infection, possibly Erysipelas, as the cause, though confirmation is pending further investigation. This season has seen a higher mortality rate among young whales, prompting concern and collaborative efforts between the Chubut government and research teams.
