Punjab DGP: Vandals To Face Action At LPU

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav visited Lovely Professional University following student protests, stating that while minimum force was used against demonstrators, vandals will face strict action. He assured that police acted as a bridge to resolve student grievances with the university administration, facilitating discussions. An FIR has been registered and an SIT formed to investigate the alleged rape incident. Yadav emphasized that law will take its course against those who disturbed the peace, despite police restraint.

पंजाब के डीजीपी गौरव यादव ने लवली प्रोफेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी (LPU) में छात्रों के विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद वहां का दौरा किया। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ न्यूनतम बल का प्रयोग किया गया, लेकिन तोड़फोड़ करने वालों पर सख्त कार्रवाई होगी। उन्होंने भरोसा दिलाया कि पुलिस ने छात्रों की शिकायतों को विश्वविद्यालय प्रशासन के साथ सुलझाने में एक पुल का काम किया और बातचीत की सुविधा दी। एक FIR दर्ज की गई है और कथित बलात्कार की घटना की जांच के लिए एक SIT का गठन किया गया है। यादव ने जोर देकर कहा कि शांति भंग करने वालों के खिलाफ कानून अपना काम करेगा, भले ही पुलिस ने संयम बरता हो।
