Dhanbad Potters Fear Diwali Losses Amid Forecast of Rain

Times of India · india

Potter families in Dhanbad's Kumhar Patti are worried about potential losses to their Diwali earnings due to a forecast of rain over the next two to three days. Artisans are working diligently to dry and pack their earthen lamps, toys, and idols, spreading them on rooftops and open spaces. Any damage to their stock before the festival could lead to substantial financial setbacks for these families who rely heavily on Diwali sales. They are praying for clear skies to protect their traditional craft and ensure household income.
