Malabar Milma Faces Action Over Financial Irregularities

The Department of Dairy Development has ordered further action against Malabar Milma following an inspection that revealed financial and administrative irregularities. An order on September 18 called for scrutiny under the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act. Lapses included failure to submit annual reports and audited accounts, and financial transaction irregularities. Notably, a ₹27.45 lakh loss occurred at Kasaragod Milma Dairy due to procuring substandard milk without proper quality tests.
