Stepfather Cannot Replace Biological Father On Birth Certificate

A High Court has ruled that a stepfather cannot be listed on a child's birth certificate in place of the biological father. The court stated that a birth certificate is a legal record of parentage. It further clarified that the dissolution of the biological parents' marriage or remarriage does not change the established facts of birth. This decision upholds the integrity of official birth records.

हाई कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया है कि सौतेले पिता को बच्चे के जन्म प्रमाण पत्र पर असली पिता की जगह नहीं लिखा जा सकता। कोर्ट ने कहा कि जन्म प्रमाण पत्र माता-पिता के कानूनी रिकॉर्ड की तरह है। यह भी साफ किया गया कि असली माता-पिता की शादी टूटने या दोबारा शादी करने से जन्म के तथ्य नहीं बदलते। इस फैसले से जन्म रिकॉर्ड की सच्चाई बनी रहेगी।
