The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rejected all bids at a government Treasury bill auction, signalling concern over rapidly increasing short-term borrowing costs. The government had aimed to raise Rs 23,000 crore across 91, 182, and 364-day bills. Traders suggested investor yield demands exceeded RBI expectations. This action further pressured government bonds, already affected by rising crude oil and US Treasury yields, pushing the benchmark 10-year bond yield to its highest since November 4, 2022.
