Hindustan Times · sports

Cristiano Ronaldo's unexpected departure from the Portugal camp has sparked widespread speculation about his international future. The situation reportedly began after the match against Norway, where Ronaldo was benched and then promised playing time that did not materialize. A meeting between Ronaldo and coach Jorge Jesus aimed to resolve the issue, but Ronaldo did not rejoin the squad. The unrest within the camp even led the Portuguese Football Federation president to stay and help mediate. Ronaldo has since left, with his return and future with the national team remaining uncertain.
