Times of India · education
A parliamentary panel has recommended shifting the NEET medical entrance examination to computer-based testing (CBT) following the cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 due to irregularities. The panel also suggested establishing a framework to ensure the National Testing Agency (NTA) is accountable to Parliament. These recommendations come amid the government's efforts to reform the examination system after a previous paper leak controversy. The Ministry of Education is developing national strategy for CBT infrastructure, with a final decision pending a report from a high-level task force.
