Russia to Supply Over 3 Lakh Tonnes of Diesel to US

US President Donald Trump announced that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 tonnes of diesel to the American and global markets. This agreement follows a successful discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russia will also supply an additional 500,000 tonnes in November and 1 million tonnes shortly thereafter. This move comes as the US grapples with high fuel prices, potentially impacting upcoming midterm elections. The US Treasury Department has also lifted restrictions on Russian diesel sales until April 2027.
