Hindustan Times · india
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) informed the Supreme Court that protests on October 10 caused a 45% drop in daily ridership, affecting 2.6 million commuters. While 45 stations had restricted entry/exit, the remaining 258 stations remained fully operational, with all scheduled train trips running. The DMRC filed an affidavit to counter claims of public transport shutdown during the Cockroach Janta Party protest. This clarification comes amid contempt proceedings initiated by the Supreme Court.
