Karnataka CM Announces Freedom Park at Kittur Fort, Irrigation Project

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced plans to establish the Kittur Channamma Freedom Park within Kittur Fort in Belagavi district, with an estimated cost of ₹40 crore. The park will feature sound and light shows and high-tech installations to highlight the historical significance of the Kittur royal house. Additionally, the state government will financially approve the Channavrushabhendra Irrigation Project, costing ₹520 crore, to benefit the Kittur region. The Chief Minister also stated that the North-West Road Transport Corporation will be renamed in honor of Kittur Rani Channamma.

कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री डी. के. शिवकुमार ने बेलगावी जिले के कित्तूर किले के अंदर कित्तूर चन्नम्मा फ्रीडम पार्क स्थापित करने की योजना की घोषणा की, जिसकी अनुमानित लागत ₹40 करोड़ है। पार्क में कित्तूर शाही घराने के ऐतिहासिक महत्व को उजागर करने के लिए साउंड एंड लाइट शो और हाई-टेक इंस्टॉलेशन होंगे। इसके अतिरिक्त, राज्य सरकार कित्तूर क्षेत्र को लाभ पहुंचाने के लिए ₹520 करोड़ की लागत वाली चन्नवृषभेंद्र सिंचाई परियोजना को वित्तीय मंजूरी देगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि नॉर्थ-वेस्ट रोड ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉर्पोरेशन का नाम कित्तूर रानी चन्नम्मा के सम्मान में बदला जाएगा।
