Delhi's government schools are set to double the salaries of over 20,000 guest teachers, with a proposal sent for approval. Under the new system, teachers will receive a fixed monthly stipend instead of daily wages. PGTs will now earn ₹76,160 per month, TGTs ₹71,840, and PRTs ₹56,640, including a 60% dearness allowance. This move aims to address the long-standing demands of guest teachers struggling with rising living costs. The proposal also includes provisions for eight casual leaves annually and payment during summer and winter breaks.

दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूलों में 20,000 से ज़्यादा गेस्ट टीचर्स का वेतन दोगुना होने वाला है। इसके लिए एक प्रस्ताव मंजूरी के लिए भेजा गया है। नए सिस्टम के तहत, टीचर्स को रोज़ाना मज़दूरी की जगह एक फिक्स्ड मासिक स्टाइपेंड मिलेगा। अब PGTs को हर महीने ₹76,160, TGTs को ₹71,840 और PRTs को ₹56,640 मिलेंगे। इसमें 60% महंगाई भत्ता भी शामिल है। इस कदम से गेस्ट टीचर्स की पुरानी मांगें पूरी होंगी, जो बढ़ती महंगाई से जूझ रहे थे। प्रस्ताव में हर साल 8 कैजुअल लीव और गर्मियों व सर्दियों की छुट्टियों के दौरान भी भुगतान का प्रावधान है।
