UP CEO Responds to Caste Bias Allegations Over Erroneous Voter Slips

Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa has addressed allegations of caste bias stemming from incorrect voter slip entries. Responding to AAP MP Sanjay Singh's query about a slip reading 'Ram ne Yadav ko Maara', Rinwa stated that computers and software are not casteist. He sarcastically noted that if the error had involved a minority, communalism charges would have followed. Rinwa acknowledged errors occurred but emphasized they did not reflect caste discrimination.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा ने गलत वोटर पर्ची एंट्री से उत्पन्न जातिगत पूर्वाग्रह के आरोपों पर प्रतिक्रिया दी है। AAP सांसद संजय सिंह के 'राम ने यादव को मारा' लिखी पर्ची के सवाल पर, रिणवा ने कहा कि कंप्यूटर और सॉफ्टवेयर जातिवादी नहीं होते। उन्होंने व्यंग्यात्मक ढंग से कहा कि अगर गलती में कोई अल्पसंख्यक शामिल होता तो सांप्रदायिकता के आरोप लगते। रिणवा ने स्वीकार किया कि गलतियाँ हुईं लेकिन जोर देकर कहा कि वे जातिगत भेदभाव को नहीं दर्शातीं।
