A gram panchayat in Karnataka's Mandya district has revolutionized its record-keeping system, allowing property information to be retrieved in just three to four minutes. K. Shettihalli Gram Panchayat, serving about 9,000 residents, has created individual digital files for each of its 2,172 properties. This system consolidates all necessary details and documents, eliminating the need for multiple files for different services. The initiative also incorporates e-filing to reduce paper usage and makes the office environmentally friendly, powered by solar energy.
