Assam Police to Reserve 12% Quota for Agniveers; Green Tax on Old Vehicles

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced significant decisions regarding recruitment and environmental policy. A 12% quota for Agniveers will be implemented for various posts within the Assam Police, including Armed Branch and Unarmed Branch constable positions, commando personnel, jail warders, firemen, SDRF constables, forest guards, and excise constables. Additionally, a green tax will be imposed on older vehicles to encourage the adoption of newer, more environmentally friendly transportation. These measures aim to streamline recruitment and promote ecological sustainability within the state.

असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने भर्ती और पर्यावरण नीति को लेकर अहम फैसले सुनाए हैं। असम पुलिस में आर्म्ड ब्रांच और अनआर्म्ड ब्रांच कांस्टेबल पदों, कमांडो कर्मियों, जेल वार्डरों, फायरमैन, SDRF कांस्टेबल, वन रक्षकों और उत्पाद शुल्क कांस्टेबलों सहित विभिन्न पदों के लिए अग्निवीरों के लिए 12% कोटा लागू किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा, नए और अधिक पर्यावरण-अनुकूल परिवहन को अपनाने को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए पुराने वाहनों पर ग्रीन टैक्स लगाया जाएगा। इन उपायों का उद्देश्य भर्ती को सुव्यवस्थित करना और राज्य के भीतर पारिस्थितिक स्थिरता को बढ़ावा देना है।
