Tamil Nadu Govt Increases Upper Age Limit For Government Jobs By Five Years

TOI - Delhi · india

The Tamil Nadu government has raised the upper age limit for direct recruitment to government services by five years across all recruitment boards, effective October 30, 2026. This decision, which will remain in force for five years, aims to provide relief to job aspirants facing disqualification due to age limits amid recruitment delays. The enhancement applies over existing relaxations, increasing the limit for general category candidates for Group-I posts from 32 to 37 years and for reserved categories to 42 years.
