Jadavpur University Dissolves Panel After Neha Bora Event Approval

Jadavpur University's Vice-Chancellor Chiranjib Bhattacharjee has dissolved the programme approving and monitoring committee that granted permission for an event featuring AISA national president Neha Bora. The committee's approval process was reportedly not followed correctly, as the registrar was not informed. Explanation has been sought from the dean of students and the committee chairman regarding the approval. All such activities will now be overseen by the registrar until further notice. The ABVP had demanded a probe into the event's permission, citing a court order against inviting political functionaries.

जादवपुर यूनिवर्सिटी के वाइस-चांसलर चिरंजीब भट्टाचार्जी ने कार्यक्रम की मंजूरी और निगरानी समिति को भंग कर दिया है, जिसने AISA की राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष नेहा बोरा के कार्यक्रम को अनुमति दी थी। कथित तौर पर, समिति की मंजूरी प्रक्रिया का सही ढंग से पालन नहीं किया गया था, क्योंकि रजिस्ट्रार को सूचित नहीं किया गया था। छात्रों के डीन और समिति के अध्यक्ष से मंजूरी के संबंध में स्पष्टीकरण मांगा गया है। अब आगे के आदेश तक ऐसी सभी गतिविधियों की देखरेख रजिस्ट्रार करेंगे। ABVP ने राजनीतिक पदाधिकारियों को आमंत्रित करने के खिलाफ अदालत के आदेश का हवाला देते हुए कार्यक्रम की अनुमति की जांच की मांग की थी।
