Couple Livestream Suicide on Instagram in Dahod Forest

A 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, who were in a relationship, died by suicide by hanging themselves in a forested area of Dahod district on Sunday. The couple, residents of Limkheda taluka, were reportedly upset after the man's parents refused to permit their marriage due to them belonging to the same clan. They went to a forested area in Haripur village and livestreamed their final moments on Instagram. Police were informed and recovered the bodies, initiating an investigation into any other potential reasons for their extreme step.

रविवार को दाहोद जिले के एक जंगली इलाके में 22 साल के एक लड़के और 16 साल की एक लड़की ने फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। दोनों रिलेशनशिप में थे। लिमखेड़ा तालुका के रहने वाले इस जोड़े को कथित तौर पर तब दुख हुआ जब लड़के के माता-पिता ने उन्हें एक ही गोत्र का होने के कारण शादी की इजाजत देने से इनकार कर दिया। वे हरपुर गांव के एक जंगली इलाके में गए और इंस्टाग्राम पर अपने आखिरी पल लाइव किए। पुलिस को सूचित किया गया और उन्होंने शवों को बरामद कर लिया, साथ ही उनके इस चरम कदम के किसी भी अन्य संभावित कारणों की जांच शुरू कर दी है।
