Shreyas Iyer: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Needs More Time For Opportunities

Times of India · sports

India T20 captain Shreyas Iyer stated that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will have to wait for regular opportunities in the playing XI. Iyer emphasized that the 15-year-old has plenty of time to establish himself internationally, especially with consistent performances from current openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. The teenager has featured in only eight of the 21 T20Is played since his inclusion in squads for England and Ireland tours. Iyer believes touring overseas will benefit Sooryavanshi's long-term development and preparation for different conditions.
