Cuba Condemns US Oil Blockade At UN

Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned the United States's oil blockade as an "act of collective punishment" at the UN General Assembly. He stated that Havana is open to dialogue with the US government to resolve bilateral differences, but only on the basis of sovereign equality and without preconditions. US President Donald Trump predicted a deal between the two nations, stating military action would not be necessary. The US has maintained a decades-long economic embargo and recently imposed an oil blockade, causing fuel shortages and blackouts in Cuba.
