New Chief Priest Selected For Sabarimala Temple For One-Year Term

Areekkara Subrahmanyan Sankaran Namboothiri has been selected as the new chief priest for the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple. He will serve a one-year term starting with the upcoming Mandala–Makaravilakku pilgrimage season. The selection was made through a draw of lots after Ushapuja on the first day of the Malayalam month of Thulam. Damodaran Namboothiri A was chosen as the chief priest for the Malikappuram Devi Temple. Both priests will assume their duties on Thulam 30.

अरीक्करा सुब्रमण्यन शंकरन नम्बूथिरी को सबरीमाला अयप्पा मंदिर के नए मुख्य पुजारी के रूप में चुना गया है। वह आगामी मंडला-मकरविलक्कु तीर्थयात्रा सीजन से शुरू होने वाले एक साल के कार्यकाल में सेवा करेंगे। मलयालम महीने थुलम के पहले दिन उषापूजा के बाद पर्ची निकालकर यह चयन किया गया। दामोदरन नम्बूथिरी ए को मलिकप्पुरम देवी मंदिर के मुख्य पुजारी के रूप में चुना गया। दोनों पुजारी थुलम 30 को अपना पदभार ग्रहण करेंगे।
