Army Engineers To Aid Telangana Irrigation Projects

The Telangana government has enlisted three Indian Army Corps of Engineers officers to expedite the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) works and the rehabilitation of three Kaleshwaram barrages. Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy personally requested the deputation of experienced Army engineers from the Chief of Army Staff, citing the technical complexity of the SLBC tunnel and barrages. This decision follows the successful collaboration with Colonel Parikshit Mehra, an Army officer already serving with Telangana.
