Bengaluru South City Corporation has sealed 63 commercial establishments operating illegally in residential layouts across its jurisdiction. The highest number of closures, 30, occurred in BTM Layout, with others shut in constituencies like Bengaluru South, Bommanahalli, and Padmanabhanagar. Officials stated these businesses caused inconvenience to residents and obstructed traffic. The action targeted establishments on roads narrower than 40 feet and those operating without valid trade licenses despite prior notices. Commissioner K.N. Ramesh warned of strict legal action against all such non-compliant businesses.

बेंगलुरु दक्षिण सिटी कॉर्पोरेशन ने अपने अधिकार क्षेत्र में आवासीय लेआउट में अवैध रूप से चल रहे 63 व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों को सील कर दिया है। सबसे अधिक 30 बंदिशें बीटीएम लेआउट में हुईं, जबकि बेंगलुरु दक्षिण, बोम्मनहल्ली और पद्मनाभनगर जैसे निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में भी अन्य बंद किए गए। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि इन व्यवसायों से निवासियों को असुविधा हो रही थी और यातायात बाधित हो रहा था। यह कार्रवाई 40 फीट से कम चौड़ी सड़कों पर स्थित प्रतिष्ठानों और पूर्व सूचनाओं के बावजूद वैध व्यापार लाइसेंस के बिना संचालित होने वालों को लक्षित करती है। आयुक्त के.एन. रमेश ने ऐसे सभी गैर-अनुपालक व्यवसायों के खिलाफ कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई की चेतावनी दी है।
