केरल शास्त्र साहित्य परिषद (KSSP) केरलम के सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में विकसित हो रहे रुझानों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए सार्वजनिक अभियान और चर्चाएं शुरू करेगा। कोझिकोड में हाल ही में एक सेमिनार में बढ़ती चिकित्सा उपचार लागतों पर चर्चा की गई, जिसका श्रेय उच्च रुग्णता, जीवनशैली की बीमारियों में वृद्धि और बुजुर्ग आबादी में वृद्धि को दिया गया। प्रतिभागियों ने अस्पतालों और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में निजी वित्त पूंजी के महत्वपूर्ण निवेश को नोट किया। चिंता जताई गई कि केंद्र सरकार सार्वजनिक कल्याण पर वित्त पूंजी के हितों को प्राथमिकता दे सकती है, आवश्यक दवाओं की उपलब्धता और गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित करने में विफल रही है।
