The Southern Railway division will now fine passengers who talk loudly, play music, or watch videos on speaker mode. Repeat offenders, who continue to cause disturbances after being warned, face up to six months in jail or a fine of ₹5,000, or both. This initiative aims to ensure a more peaceful travel experience for all commuters.
