Azam Khan Detained by ED Post-Release, To Be Presented in Ghaziabad Court

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has been taken into custody by the ED following his release from Rampur jail. The ED is investigating a money laundering case linked to the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust. Khan will be presented before a Ghaziabad court for formal arrest. The ED has also attached properties of the Jauhar Trust, including land and buildings valued at approximately ₹1,170 crore, as part of its probe into alleged illegal land acquisition for the university.

समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता आजम खान को रामपुर जेल से रिहा होने के बाद ईडी ने हिरासत में ले लिया है। ईडी मौलाना मोहम्मद अली जौहर ट्रस्ट से जुड़े मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के मामले की जांच कर रही है। खान को औपचारिक गिरफ्तारी के लिए गाजियाबाद कोर्ट में पेश किया जाएगा। ईडी ने विश्वविद्यालय के लिए कथित अवैध भूमि अधिग्रहण की जांच के तहत जौहर ट्रस्ट की लगभग ₹1,170 करोड़ की भूमि और भवन सहित संपत्तियों को भी कुर्क किया है।
