A new breast cancer drug, Camizestrant, which helps delay disease progression, has been recommended for import and marketing in India by a government expert panel. In a trial, patients switching to the drug after resistance developed remained disease-free for an average of 16 months, compared to 9.2 months for those continuing previous treatments. This drug is intended for adults with advanced breast cancer whose current treatment is losing effectiveness due to ESR1 mutations.
