Election Commission to Match Old and New Voter Lists After SIR Completion

Following the completion of the SIR process in several states, the Election Commission has ordered a reconciliation of old and new voter lists. The aim is to identify and re-enlist any eligible voters whose names were present in the previous list but are missing from the current one. Booth Level Officers will conduct door-to-door verification to ascertain the status of these voters. If found eligible and residing at their address, their names will be re-added using Form 6, ensuring no eligible citizen is disenfranchised.

कई राज्यों में SIR प्रक्रिया पूरी होने के बाद, चुनाव आयोग ने पुरानी और नई वोटर लिस्ट का मिलान करने का आदेश दिया है। इसका मकसद उन योग्य मतदाताओं की पहचान करना और उन्हें फिर से सूचीबद्ध करना है जिनके नाम पिछली लिस्ट में थे लेकिन वर्तमान लिस्ट से गायब हैं। इन मतदाताओं की स्थिति का पता लगाने के लिए बूथ लेवल अधिकारी घर-घर जाकर सत्यापन करेंगे। यदि वे योग्य पाए जाते हैं और अपने पते पर रह रहे हैं, तो फॉर्म 6 का उपयोग करके उनके नाम फिर से जोड़े जाएंगे, ताकि किसी भी योग्य नागरिक को वोट देने के अधिकार से वंचित न किया जा सके।
