India Proposes BS7 Emission Norms To Be Implemented In Three Phases

India is planning to introduce BS7 emission norms, a significant upgrade from BS6, to further control vehicular pollution. These proposed regulations aim to monitor not only exhaust fumes but also fine particulate matter that enters the human respiratory system. The government plans a phased implementation starting April 2029, with new cars and SUVs being the first to comply. The entire rollout process is expected to conclude by April 2035, with different timelines for various vehicle categories, including commercial and two-wheeler vehicles.

भारत BS6 से एक बड़ा कदम उठाते हुए BS7 उत्सर्जन मानक पेश करने की योजना बना रहा है ताकि वाहनों से होने वाले प्रदूषण को और नियंत्रित किया जा सके। इन प्रस्तावित नियमों का लक्ष्य न केवल एग्जॉस्ट धुएं की निगरानी करना है, बल्कि मानव श्वसन तंत्र में प्रवेश करने वाले महीन कणों की भी निगरानी करना है। सरकार अप्रैल 2029 से चरणबद्ध कार्यान्वयन की योजना बना रही है, जिसमें नई कारें और SUV सबसे पहले इनका पालन करेंगी। अप्रैल 2035 तक पूरी तरह से लागू होने की उम्मीद है, जिसमें वाणिज्यिक और दोपहिया वाहनों सहित विभिन्न वाहन श्रेणियों के लिए अलग-अलग समय-सीमाएं होंगी।
