South Asian University Launches Precision Nutrition Centre for Regional Health

South Asian University in New Delhi inaugurated the SAARC–SAU Regional and Transdisciplinary Centre for Precision Nutrition and Health (CPNH) on October 9, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen regional cooperation and collaborative research to tackle issues like anaemia and malnutrition across South Asia. The Centre, established with SAARC, UNICEF, and Cornell University, will focus on improving nutrition, especially for adolescent girls, women, and children. It will serve as a regional hub connecting researchers and institutions to develop affordable, context-specific solutions for better health outcomes.

नई दिल्ली स्थित दक्षिण एशियाई विश्वविद्यालय ने 9 अक्टूबर 2026 को SAARC–SAU रीजनल एंड ट्रांसडिसिप्लिनरी सेंटर फॉर प्रिसिजन न्यूट्रिशन एंड हेल्थ (CPNH) का उद्घाटन किया। इस पहल का उद्देश्य दक्षिण एशिया में एनीमिया और कुपोषण जैसी समस्याओं से निपटने के लिए क्षेत्रीय सहयोग और सहयोगात्मक अनुसंधान को मजबूत करना है। SAARC, UNICEF और Cornell University के सहयोग से स्थापित यह केंद्र, विशेष रूप से किशोर लड़कियों, महिलाओं और बच्चों के पोषण में सुधार पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा। यह बेहतर स्वास्थ्य परिणामों के लिए किफायती, संदर्भ-विशिष्ट समाधान विकसित करने हेतु शोधकर्ताओं और संस्थानों को जोड़ने वाले एक क्षेत्रीय केंद्र के रूप में काम करेगा।
