India-Canada Trade Sees Double-Digit Growth Amid PM Modi's December Visit
Hindustan Times · business
Merchandise trade between Canada and India has experienced double-digit growth between January and August this year, even as negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) continue. Canada's merchandise exports to India rose by 36.7% to CA$3.03 billion, while imports increased by 10.2% to CA$7.05 billion. This surge follows a significant week in bilateral relations, including a trade mission that secured CA$300 million in commercial agreements. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit in December is expected to maintain this positive momentum.
