SHRC Orders Expedited Completion of Service Roads Near Kovalam Bypass

The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has directed the district collector to convene a meeting and expedite the construction of service roads along the Kovalam-Porode bridge on the Kazhakkoottam-Karode bypass. The commission emphasized the need to resume stalled construction works by involving relevant agencies, including the NHAI, and considering the views of the local MP and MLA. Officials from the district collector's office, NHAI, and PWD have been ordered to submit an action taken report within four weeks and appear before the commission.
