Kerala Health Minister Orders KMSCL Tender Reforms

Kerala Health Minister K Muraleedharan has directed the Kerala Medical Services Corporation Ltd (KMSCL) to eliminate intermediaries from its drug procurement tenders. Companies will now have the opportunity to participate directly, with authorised agencies allowed for imported medicines. This overhaul aims to ensure the supply of quality branded medicines to government hospitals and improve transparency. New guidelines require companies to have supplied to government institutions in at least two states to be eligible for procurement in Kerala.

केरल के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के मुरलीधरन ने केरल मेडिकल सर्विसेज कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (KMSCL) को अपने दवा खरीद टेंडर से बिचौलियों को खत्म करने का निर्देश दिया है। अब कंपनियों को सीधे भाग लेने का अवसर मिलेगा, और आयातित दवाओं के लिए अधिकृत एजेंसियों की अनुमति होगी। इस सुधार का उद्देश्य सरकारी अस्पतालों में गुणवत्ता वाली ब्रांडेड दवाओं की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करना और पारदर्शिता बढ़ाना है। नई गाइडलाइंस के अनुसार, केरल में खरीद के लिए पात्र होने के लिए कंपनियों को कम से कम दो राज्यों में सरकारी संस्थानों को आपूर्ति करनी होगी।
