Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have significantly reduced their holdings in the Indian stock market, selling shares worth approximately ₹35,000 crore over the past four trading sessions. This substantial outflow has directly impacted market performance, with major indices like the Sensex and Nifty consistently closing in the red. The selling pressure has led to a considerable drop in the market capitalization of BSE-listed companies, amounting to nearly ₹20 lakh crore. Concurrently, the Indian Rupee has weakened against the US Dollar, crossing the 96 per dollar mark.
