Nifty Plunges 462 Points In Seconds

Indian benchmark indices experienced wild swings during the closing auction session, with Nifty dropping nearly 2% or 462 points in less than 30 seconds. This volatility follows the introduction of a new CAS system on August 3 for calculating closing prices. Market regulator Sebi has proposed two options to address concerns about expiry-day settlement prices and has also suggested changes to trading session timings.

भारतीय शेयर बाज़ार में क्लोजिंग ऑक्शन के दौरान भारी उथल-पुथल देखी गई। निफ्टी 30 सेकंड से भी कम समय में करीब 2% यानी 462 अंक गिर गया। यह अस्थिरता 3 अगस्त को क्लोजिंग प्राइस की गणना के लिए नए CAS सिस्टम के लागू होने के बाद आई है। बाज़ार नियामक Sebi ने एक्सपायरी-डे सेटलमेंट प्राइस को लेकर चिंताओं को दूर करने के लिए दो विकल्प सुझाए हैं और ट्रेडिंग सेशन के समय में बदलाव का भी प्रस्ताव दिया है।
