Times of India - India · india
In 2006, Phyllis and Andrew Rabinowitz lost their newborn daughter, Rebecca, to an enteroviral infection after her symptoms were misdiagnosed as a common cold. This tragedy spurred them to establish the R Baby Foundation to improve emergency medical care for children. Over two decades, the foundation has raised $18 million and trained over 6,500 physicians across more than 1,000 hospitals. Their work, reaching over a million children annually, also advocates for policy changes in paediatric emergency preparedness.
