The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in trade, investment, infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, and people-to-people connections. Jaishankar emphasized that cooperation would align with Cote d'Ivoire's priorities. This meeting occurred during Jaishankar's tour of African nations, following his visit to Ghana. In Ghana, he also received the country's acceptance for the International Big Cat Alliance and paid tribute to Kwame Nkrumah.
