Surat Doctor Dies By Suicide After Exam

A third-year resident doctor at Surat Civil Hospital allegedly died by suicide on Thursday. Identified as Yogen Dilip Prajapati, 30, he was pursuing his postgraduate degree in anatomy and was due to complete his specialisation this year. Police sources indicate he inflicted injuries to his wrist and hands in the dissection room after a practical examination for first-year MBBS students. He was found to have suffered substantial blood loss.

सूरत सिविल अस्पताल के एक तीसरे साल के रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर ने गुरुवार को कथित तौर पर आत्महत्या कर ली। 30 वर्षीय योगेन दिलीप प्रजापति, जो एनाटॉमी में अपनी पोस्टग्रेजुएट डिग्री कर रहे थे और इसी साल अपनी विशेषज्ञता पूरी करने वाले थे। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, उन्होंने प्रथम वर्ष के एमबीबीएस छात्रों के लिए एक प्रैक्टिकल परीक्षा के बाद, विच्छेदन कक्ष में अपनी कलाई और हाथों पर चोटें पहुंचाईं। उन्हें काफी खून बहता हुआ पाया गया।
