Rights Panel Seeks Report on Infant Fire Deaths

The Telangana Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognisance of the deaths of five infants in a fire at the Special Newborn Care Unit of RIMS Adilabad. The commission has sought a detailed report from the State government regarding the circumstances leading to the fire. It also noted concerns about maintenance and safety arrangements at the unit, including electrical installations and fire alarms.

तेलंगाना मानवाधिकार आयोग ने RIMS आदिलाबाद के स्पेशल न्यूबॉर्न केयर यूनिट में आग लगने से पांच नवजात शिशुओं की मौत का स्वतः संज्ञान लिया है। आयोग ने राज्य सरकार से आग लगने के कारणों की विस्तृत रिपोर्ट मांगी है। आयोग ने यूनिट में रखरखाव और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था, जिसमें बिजली के उपकरण और फायर अलार्म शामिल हैं, को लेकर भी चिंता जताई है।
