दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार को दिव्यांग लोगों की मदद के लिए सर्विस डॉग के इस्तेमाल के लिए एक स्टैंडर्ड ऑपरेटिंग प्रोसीजर (एसओपी) फाइनल करने का निर्देश दिया है। कोर्ट को उम्मीद है कि अगली सुनवाई की तारीख 7 जनवरी 2027 तक एसओपी तैयार हो जाएगी। यह निर्देश एक याचिका से आया है जिसमें सर्विस एनिमल के लिए किसी ढांचे की कमी बताई गई थी। एसओपी के लिए सुझावों में एक रजिस्टर बनाए रखना, सर्विस डॉग के लिए यूनिक कॉलर और सार्वजनिक सुरक्षा और सद्भाव सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में संभावित मजलिंग शामिल हैं।
