Praful Patel Worried About AIFF's Financial Situation

AIFF president Praful Patel expressed concern over the federation's current financial state. Patel, who led the AIFF from 2009 to 2022, stated he cares about its well-being despite no longer holding the top post. He attended a recent AIFF special general meeting where a proposal to break fixed deposits of around ₹20 crore for expenses was rejected. Federation officials noted outstanding dues to vendors and agents, and approximately ₹25 crore owed to Brazil and Uruguay federations.
