Gandhi described the situation as a "100% failure" of the state government and vowed to raise the issue in the Lok Sabha. He met with the families of the deceased children, highlighting that no political leader, including the Chief Minister, had visited them. Gandhi also accused the BJP-ruled states of neglecting tribal communities, only remembering them when their resources are needed.

कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने बालाघाट में संदिग्ध संक्रामक बीमारियों के कारण 30 से ज़्यादा आदिवासी बच्चों की मौत के बाद मध्य प्रदेश की बीजेपी सरकार की कड़ी आलोचना की है। गांधी ने इस स्थिति को राज्य सरकार की "100% विफलता" बताया और लोकसभा में इस मुद्दे को उठाने का संकल्प लिया। उन्होंने मृत बच्चों के परिवारों से मुलाकात की और इस बात पर जोर दिया कि मुख्यमंत्री सहित कोई भी राजनीतिक नेता उनसे मिलने नहीं गया था। गांधी ने बीजेपी शासित राज्यों पर आदिवासी समुदायों की उपेक्षा करने का भी आरोप लगाया, और कहा कि उन्हें केवल तब याद किया जाता है जब उनके संसाधनों की ज़रूरत होती है।
