The Maharashtra government has agreed to appoint IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe as the secretary of a two-month inquiry committee investigating alleged paper leaks in MPSC examinations. This decision follows an 11-day protest by aspirants in Pune. The government will also withdraw cases against protesters and double the number of Group C posts for the 2027 examination. The committee, headed by a retired judge, will investigate irregularities and submit its report within 60 days. However, the key demand for removing MPSC chairperson Vivek Bhimanwar remains unresolved.
