NMC Revises MBBS Seat Matrix For 2026-27

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has updated the MBBS seat matrix for the 2026-27 academic year, incorporating new approvals and intake increases. The revised matrix now lists 1,40,214 MBBS seats across 836 colleges, an addition of 13,186 seats. The NMC cautioned medical colleges and counselling authorities against admitting students beyond the formally approved intake capacity, warning of regulatory and penal action for non-compliance with the NMC Act, 2019.

नेशनल मेडिकल कमीशन (NMC) ने 2026-27 के लिए MBBS सीटों की लिस्ट जारी कर दी है। अब कुल 1,40,214 सीटें 836 कॉलेजों में होंगी, जो 13,186 ज़्यादा हैं। NMC ने कॉलेजों और काउंसलिंग कराने वालों को चेतावनी दी है कि तय सीटों से ज़्यादा एडमिशन न लें। ऐसा करने पर NMC Act, 2019 के तहत कार्रवाई होगी।
