Principal Critically Injured In Khunti School Attack; Police Probe Underway

A 55-year-old principal, Father Benedict Barla, was found critically injured and unconscious in his office at St Michael Boys Middle School in Khunti on Wednesday morning. He sustained multiple head and neck injuries and is currently in intensive care on ventilator support in a Ranchi hospital. Residents protested the incident, demanding swift arrests from the police. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage showing masked youths entering the school office late Tuesday night and are investigating all possible angles to identify the attackers and the weapon used.

बुधवार सुबह खुंटी के सेंट माइकल बॉयज मिडिल स्कूल में 55 वर्षीय प्रिंसिपल, फादर बेनेडिक्ट बार्ला, अपने ऑफिस में गंभीर रूप से घायल और बेहोश पाए गए। उन्हें सिर और गर्दन में कई चोटें आई हैं और वे रांची के एक अस्पताल में वेंटिलेटर सपोर्ट पर गहन चिकित्सा में हैं। निवासियों ने घटना के विरोध में प्रदर्शन किया और पुलिस से तुरंत गिरफ्तारी की मांग की। अधिकारी मंगलवार रात को नकाबपोश युवकों के स्कूल ऑफिस में घुसने के सीसीटीवी फुटेज की समीक्षा कर रहे हैं और हमलावरों व इस्तेमाल किए गए हथियार की पहचान के लिए सभी संभावित कोणों से जांच कर रहे हैं।
