Uttar Pradesh Boosts Data Centre Investment Targets

Uttar Pradesh revised its Data Centre Policy, 2021, significantly increasing targets for investment and capacity. The amended policy aims for 900 megawatts of data centre capacity and Rs 30,000 crore in investment, up from the original 250 megawatts and Rs 20,000 crore. It also targets at least eight private data centre parks. Introduced to meet rising demand for digital infrastructure, the policy offers incentives to developers, units, and startups. The framework remains valid for five years or until a new policy is introduced.

उत्तर प्रदेश ने अपनी डेटा सेंटर पॉलिसी, 2021 में संशोधन किया है, जिसमें निवेश और क्षमता के लक्ष्यों में काफी वृद्धि की गई है। संशोधित नीति का लक्ष्य मूल 250 मेगावाट और 20,000 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से बढ़कर 900 मेगावाट डेटा सेंटर क्षमता और 30,000 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश हासिल करना है। इसका लक्ष्य कम से कम आठ निजी डेटा सेंटर पार्क स्थापित करना भी है। डिजिटल बुनियादी ढांचे की बढ़ती मांग को पूरा करने के लिए पेश की गई इस नीति में डेवलपर्स, इकाइयों और स्टार्टअप्स को प्रोत्साहन दिया जाएगा। यह ढांचा पांच साल के लिए या नई नीति आने तक वैध रहेगा।
