85 Books by Cuddalore Prison Inmates Released by Former Chief Secretary

Former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary V. Irai Anbu released 85 books authored by inmates of Cuddalore Central Prison on Saturday. The initiative, named 'Sirayil Mulaitha Siragugal', aims to nurture creative abilities and support rehabilitation. Developed over six months with support from the Ezhuthaga Iyakkam and the Tamil Nadu Prisons Department, the books include poetry, stories, and essays. Mr. Anbu highlighted the publication as a testament to sustained efforts and encouraged inmates to view themselves as creators upon their release, fostering confidence and a renewed sense of purpose.

तमिलनाडु के पूर्व मुख्य सचिव वी. इराई अंबु ने शनिवार को कुड्डलोर सेंट्रल जेल के कैदियों द्वारा लिखी गई 85 पुस्तकों का विमोचन किया। 'सिरायिल मुलाइथा सिरागूगल' नामक इस पहल का उद्देश्य रचनात्मक क्षमताओं को बढ़ावा देना और पुनर्वास में सहायता करना है। छह महीने में एझुथागा इयक्कम और तमिलनाडु जेल विभाग के सहयोग से विकसित इन पुस्तकों में कविताएँ, कहानियाँ और निबंध शामिल हैं। श्री अंबु ने प्रकाशन को निरंतर प्रयासों का प्रमाण बताया और कैदियों को रिहा होने पर खुद को निर्माता के रूप में देखने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया, जिससे आत्मविश्वास और उद्देश्य की नई भावना को बढ़ावा मिले।
