This 'poor' air quality is anticipated to continue through Sunday, October 25, according to the Air Quality Early Warning System. The city experienced its first 'poor' air day of the season earlier this week, prompting the invocation of Stage I of the Graded Response Action Plan. Transport emissions are identified as a major contributor to the pollution, alongside stubble burning and industrial activities.

शुक्रवार सुबह दिल्ली की हवा की गुणवत्ता 'खराब' श्रेणी में दर्ज की गई, एयर क्वालिटी इंडेक्स (AQI) 223 रहा। एयर क्वालिटी अर्ली वार्निंग सिस्टम के अनुसार, यह 'खराब' हवा रविवार, 25 अक्टूबर तक जारी रहने की उम्मीद है। इस सीज़न में शहर में हवा की गुणवत्ता 'खराब' होने का पहला दिन इसी हफ़्ते था, जिसके बाद ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान के स्टेज I को लागू किया गया था। पराली जलाने और औद्योगिक गतिविधियों के साथ-साथ वाहनों से होने वाला उत्सर्जन प्रदूषण का एक बड़ा कारण बताया जा रहा है।
