The Indian government has approved a new investment policy for the urea sector. India currently has 33 operational urea manufacturing units with an annual installed capacity of 26.94 million tonnes. सरकार ने यूरिया क्षेत्र के लिए नई निवेश नीति को मंजूरी दे दी है। भारत में अभी 33 यूरिया उत्पादन इकाइयां हैं, जिनकी सालाना क्षमता 2.69 करोड़ टन है। इस नीति से देश में उत्पादन बढ़ेगा और आयात पर निर्भरता कम होगी, जिससे खाद्य सुरक्षा मजबूत होगी। इससे नई इकाइयों में निवेश और पुरानी इकाइयों के आधुनिकीकरण को बढ़ावा मिलने की उम्मीद है।
